He was able to win his heat race for the second night in a row and then redrew the pole for the night's feature. From the pole, he ran inside the top five for the majority of the event, but slipped to record an 8th place finish when the checkered flag flew.

Friday, Kevin qualified second in his group, but the invert put him on the front row of his heat for the fourth night in a row, which he was able to race off to the lead and win. Saturday, Kevin was locked into the 75-lap, $5,000 to win feature event by virtue of being in the top six in week-long points after Friday night's events. Kevin redrew the 5, putting his #40 inside the third row for the weekend finale.  Kevin raced inside the top five during the first half of the race, battling for the lead on several occasions until the mandatory fuel stop. After the fuel stop, Kevin began to challenge for the lead and looked to be about to steal the lead away from leader Jason Hughes with just two laps to go, but a caution negated the pass. On the green-white-checkered restart, Kevin wound his machine up on the cushion and blasted around the Clay by the Bay with one last chance at claiming the win. As the white flag flew, Kevin was still in second, but he completed a perfect final lap and beat Hughes off the final turn to the line in a photo finish by just 0.037 seconds to claim the thrilling victory!
