Adams Lands a Trio of Top 5 Outings Over the Weekend
Thursday night, Kevin raced at the Eagle Valley Speedway in Jim Falls, Wisconsin and posted a pair of runner up finishes for his efforts. Kevin ran second from the pole in his heat race and then after starting on the outside of the front row for the night's WISSOTA Modified feature, he ran a close second when the checkered flag flew.
Kevin and his team entered a pair of WISSOTA-sanctioned events this past weekend on Friday and Sunday with a Saturday rain out mixed in. Friday night, the team entered action at the Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, WI for season championship night. Kevin raced from 4th to 2nd in his heat race, earning himself the third starting spot in the night's main event. During the feature, Kevin raced inside the top five all night long and raced home with a solid fourth place finish when the checkered flew.
After Saturday's Rice Lake Speedway rain out, Kevin entered action at the St. Croix Speedway for the inaugural Wisconsin Modified Classic chasing the $1,000 payday that went along with it. Kevin raced to a heat race victory after starting outside of the front row and redrew the 6th starting spot for the night's 20-lap feature event. During the feature, Kevin quickly made his way to third and then after a side by side battle with 2nd place running Joey Jensen, Kevin wrestled that spot away and chased down leader Dave Cain. As the laps wound down in the non stop affair, Adams reeled in Cain but ran out of time, settling for a solid second place finish in the main event.
