Top 5 Finish at North Florida Speedway

After winning the East Bay Winternationals points and finishing no worse than 5th in the 4 events at the Tampa, Florida oval, Kevin and team made their way to the North Florida Speedway for night #1 of their Winternationals on Friday night. Kevin was fast qualifier in his group and then raced his way from 4th to win his heat race, putting his #40 into the night's redraw. Kevin redrew 3rd and started inside row #2 for 25-lap, $1,500 to win main event. The 28 car field took the green and although the event was slowed by 9 caution flags, Kevin ran inside the top five all event long, coming home fifth when the checkered flag flew. With the poor weather forecast for the Sunday finale, Kevin and team decided to skip the Saturday night event and head home a day early ending his 2018 Florida trip with five top five finishes in the five events he competed in.
