Blake Adams makes Midwest Modified debut at Red Cedar Speedway
Kevin hopped back into his #40 for a pair of WISSOTA-sanctioned Modified events on the weekend and his 14-year-old son Blake, started his WISSOTA Midwest Modified career this weekend as well.
Friday night, at the Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, WI, Kevin started third in his heat race and unfortunately fell out of the race before the checkered flag flew, forcing him to stat 15th in the night's feature event. From his 8th row starting spot, he worked his way forward through traffic to cross the finish line in 7th. Blake started and finished 6th in his Midwest Modified heat race before starting 16th in the night's feature, but was ultimately caught up in a turn three crash, ending his MWM debut.
Saturday, at the Rice Lake Speedway in Rice Lake, WI, Kevin won his heat race from the pole and was scheduled to start 6th in the night's feature before the rains came washing out the remainder of the program. Blake won his first ever heat race, in only his second ever start, as he started on the pole and led every lap to pick up the checkered. The win earned him the 9th starting spot in the night's feature. From there, he raced forward to cross the finish line with a 7th place effort.
