Both Kevin and Blake find victory lane over Labor Day weekend
Kevin kicked off his Labor Day weekend in Canada at the Thunder City Speedway in Thunder Bay, Ontario on Wednesday night for the track's season championship night.
After a 6th to 4th run in his heat race, he started 8th in the night's feature race and worked through the field to the lead and was able to race off with the win. After a Thursday rainout, he hit the I-94 Speedway in Fergus Falls, MN on Friday night and swept action for his efforts. He won his heat from the pole and the feature from the outside of the front row in thrilling fashion.
Saturday and Sunday, he was in action at the Rice Lake Speedway for the track's Labor Day weekend doubleheader and after winning his heat on Saturday from the pole, he started 4th in the feature, but fell out before the checkered flag flew. Sunday, he was able to also win his heat from the pole and then raced from 5th up to 2nd in the night's feature race to cap off the weekend.
Blake also raced at I-94 and Rice Lake over the weekend, picking up a 6th place finish on Friday at I-94 after starting 14th, then racing from 10th up to 2nd on Saturday at Rice Lake and capping off the weekend on Sunday at Rice Lake with a feature win from his 5th starting spot.
